A rare pair of Neale creamware fern pots and stands, circa 1780-90

Of tapering rectangular shape, with applied entwined serpent handles in green, and moulded floral garlands, enamelled sprays of flowers and acanthus mouldings in turquoise-green.

Height of pot and stand: 15cm

No mark

Condition:  Covers lacking.  Chip to tip of a serpent on one pot, a few tiny nicks and flaking to enamel flowers on the other.  One stand has a few tiny nicks, the other has a larger rim chip.
