A fine Bow cream jug with plain loop handle, circa 1753-55

Finely painted in soft colours with a Chinese garden scene, a figure holding out a vase of flowers to a small boy, a rake and basket to the foreground.  The reverse painted with a willow tree growing from blue and yellow rocks, a figure in a sampan below the spout and flying insects above.

Marks:  Painter’s mark E in red enamel
