A rare Caughley inkwell and liner, circa 1775-80

Of capstan form, with four regularly spaced quill holders, the liner with a raised central opening, printed in blue with small flower sprays within a Nankin border.

Height:  8.3 cm, diameter at base 9.6cm

C mark to base.  GB monograms to base of pot and also to liner for Gilbert Bradley Collection

Condition:  The base is professionally restored and has perhaps been in 3 sections. The top of the liner with a restored rim chip.
