A Keeling coffee pot, circa 1790

Of fluted form, painted in colours with a band of leaves and flowers under the rim between two gilt lines, a gilt band to the base, gilt lines to the spout and handle.  The lid similarly decorated and the knop with solid gilding.

Marks: Painted 35 in purple to inside of lid and base.  Geoffrey Godden label to base.

Condition: Firing faults to inside tip of spout and inside of handle near top, hairline crack across base of handle, 2.5 cm hairline to rim to right of handle
