A rare Coalport ‘Animal Service’ coffee can and saucer, circa 1805 (5)

The can painted with ‘The spotted cavy’ and the saucer with ‘The Guinea Pig’, titled in red to the bases.

Dimensions:  can 6cm high, saucer 14cm diameter

Condition:  very slight gilt wear to rim and slight glaze craze to base of can, some gilt wear to surround of scene in saucer. There is also a small area of old restoration to the rim, above the main painted image, just above the rear of the cavy.
