A rare Coalport ‘Animal Service’ coffee can and saucer, circa 1805 (6)
The can painted with ‘The rabbit’ and the saucer with ‘The Phalanger’, titled in red to the bases.
Dimensions: can 6cm high, saucer 14cm diameter
Condition: some gilt wear to rim and handle of can, a tiny nick to the base immediately below the handle, the saucer with ‘The Phalanger’ has a tiny nick to the rim at 3 o’clock and slight wear to gilt surround of image in saucer.
