A rare Keeling kidney-shaped dessert dish, circa 1785

The dish of lobed form, painted with scattered flowers, the border with three purple lines, one with small husks above a further green line with a black zig zag design.

Marked (?) 11 in purple to base, probably a painter’s mark. Labels for the GODDEN REFERENCE COLLECTION, Allen Gallery Alton reference.

Condition:  kiln speckling to interior of dish.
