The rim shaped, with shell-shaped mouldings at four points, and ribbed mouldings from rim to centre moulding. The rims are picked out with puce feathering, and the central bouquet of flowers is surrounded by four sprays of flowers.

Condition: a small rim chip, and three small firing faults in manufacture to the underside of the rim.
See G. Godden (ed.), Staffordshire Porcelain, Chp.3, pp.32-44, where he suggests that this group was made by William Littler for Baddeley at Shelton after Littler’s return from Scotland. Sometimes called the ‘dirty bottom class’ due to kiln spitting which is frequently found, especially on the bases of the pots.
