A rare Vauxhall tea bowl, circa 1755

Painted in blue with a European subject of a girl milking a goat under a tree, with birds flying in the distance, the reverse with a large arch. The centre of the tea bowl is painted with small rocks.

Diameter: 7.5 cm

Marks: None

Condition: an inverted ‘Y’ shaped stabilised crack extending from the rim to the foot rim (see image).
