A Worcester teapot with plain loop handle, circa 1765-68
Enamelled with a Mandarin pattern of two figures to the right by a table, one holding a fan, and a figure to the left holding a bouquet of flowers. The reverse and lid are similarly painted, the lid with a button knop. There is green enamel decoration where the spout and upper terminal of the handle attach to the body, which may have been added to disguise firing faults.
