An early Worcester small mug or can, circa 1755

Of  ‘Scratch Cross’ type, with gently spreading base and grooved loop handle, painted in soft blue with the ‘Zig Zag Fence’ pattern and trailing paeonies.

6.6 cm high

Mark:  incised cross to base

Condition:  Very good, no chips, cracks or restoration.  Minor firing faults in manufacture where handle attaches to body.
