An unusual Bow coffee cup with a large handle, circa 1755

The cup enamelled with a paeony in vibrant famille rose colours, the reverse with a small insect and a meandering spray of flowers.

An overglaze painted mark ‘G’ or possibly ‘9’, to base

Height 6.3 cm

Condition: Good, outer footrim partly unglazed, slight wear to enamels of insect
